Art Classes outside of school

We have many talented artists at St Joseph’s! I love to hear about any art making students are doing outside of school. For students who are wanting to pursue art classes outside of school I can highly recommend the following.

The Malvern School of Art

Drawing classes with an illustrator.

The Melbourne Studio of Art

These classes run as one offs during school holidays and also as ongoing weekly art classes. Most sessions are based on famous artists. Holiday programs sell out very fast.

Ceramiques

Ceramique’s Kew and Elsternwick studios offer students the opportunity to work with clay (on the wheel and hand building). At the conclusion of each class students select one piece for firing. Students can do one class, ongoing classes or holiday program days. My two daughters recently attained a holiday day here and loved it!
