Pentecost Sunday was on May 28th. Pentecost also marks the birthday of the church. At Pentecost, through the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, people from every tongue, race, and nation are brought together in Jesus Christ. God has reconciled us individually to himself through his son Jesus, and through him we have been made one body in the church.
We all need to hear a message of hope and grace. God is real and we are not alone. We may not be able to meet together in one place and worship together; but we can be one in the Spirit. Pentecost is when Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to fill and equip each believer, to work and gather in the spiritual harvest.
It is quite relevant that our Confirmation Candidates will be celebrating their Confirmation shortly after Pentecost as they focus on the gifts of the Holy Spirit in their lives. Please pray for our Confirmation candidates as they undertake their Confirmation Retreat Day this week.

Last week the Year 6 Confirmation candidates participated in their Confirmation Retreat Day here at St Agatha's. The students took part in prayer reflection and activities about the Holy Spirit in their lives. It was a very successful day and the students did a great job in all their rotations. They will be celebrating their Confirmation on Sunday 18th May at St Peter's West Campus. Please pray for our candidates as they receive the Sacrament of Confirmation.
You may have noticed some significant changes in our Prayer Garden! It is undergoing a significant upgrade as a prayer space for our community. We will be retaining the Rosary symbols, cross and Mary statue and will encompass other symbolic features such as plants that reflect the liturgical seasons. Have you noticed that the shape of the wall resembles a chalice?
We can't wait until we can use this wonderful prayer space! It will be a special place for prayer and quiet reflection and meditation near our courtyard area.
