What’s happening in the library in term 3?

Lots of things!

#KalindaWinterReads - July

Hygge (noun): a Danish word for the feeling of cosiness in winter that comes from doing simple things such as lighting candlesbakingspending time at home with your family

…or curling up in a cosy armchair with a cup of hot chocolate and a good book!

This July, we’ll be asking YOU to recommend to your classmates and schoolmates your favourite comfort reads. From beautiful picture stories to fascinating non-fiction books to chapter books that take you to another world, we want to know which books give you a feeling of ‘Hygge.’

Science Week - August 14th - 18th

At Kalinda, we love science, and the library is a great place to learn about all the fascinating things that make up our universe!

Come and explore our extensive range of science, maths, and tech books, and celebrate the importance of STEM! (Who knows, maybe you can even teach your parents something new!)

CBCA Book Week August 28th- Sept 1st:

Kalinda will be celebrating Book Week in week 8 of Term 3, just as we head into spring. It’s the perfect time to celebrate how reading can inspire us and help us grow, the theme of Book Week this year!

The week will include a special Book Week performance for all year levels, our fabulous Book Week costume parade, a book drive, and the announcement of the winners of the CBCA books of the year!

Happy reading!
