Principal's News

Grace Carlo-Stella - Principal (Acting)

Dear Parents,

I want to take a moment to reflect on the past week, which was truly special as we celebrated the incredible mothers in our lives. Our Mother's Day celebrations were a resounding success, thanks to the efforts of Mrs Barbera and our dedicated teachers who organised a lovely assembly. It was heartwarming to see the joy and appreciation on the faces of our students as they expressed their love for their mothers.

I would also like to extend my gratitude to the parents from years one and three who organised a delightful morning tea. The atmosphere was filled with warmth and happiness as mothers and grandmothers came together to celebrate this special occasion. Furthermore, the Mother's Day stall was a hit, providing our students with an opportunity to select and purchase thoughtful gifts for their mothers. I am confident that our mums felt truly cherished and appreciated.

We are nearing the end of the enrolment interviews for Kindergarten 2024 academic year. Engaging with new families wanting to join our school community has been an incredibly uplifting experience. Many of these families have expressed their desire to be a part of our school because of the strong sense of community we foster, the exceptional quality of our teachers, the wonderful tours conducted by our year six students, and, most importantly, our commitment to putting our students first.

We all know someone who cancer has touched and some members of our own school community are currently battling cancer or have fought the battle in the past. It is our collective hope that one day we will witness a cure for cancer, and by supporting cancer research, we can contribute to making that hope a reality.

I invite you all to join us for the Cancer Council Morning Tea, which will take place on Thursday, May 25th, immediately following our morning assembly. It will be an opportunity for us to come together, share some delicious treats, and show our support for this important cause. Every contribution, no matter how small, can make a significant impact. I look forward to seeing many of you at the Cancer Council Morning Tea.

Kind regards,
