eSmart Week
May 22nd - 28th
We are excited to announce that our school will be participating in eSmart week from 22nd May – 28th May. eSmart week is a national event that promotes online safety and helps children learn how to be safe and responsible digital citizens. This year's theme is "Be Your Best Self Online," which emphasizes the importance of being kind, respectful, and authentic when using technology.
In today's digital age, it's more important than ever to teach children about online safety and the impact their digital footprint can have on their future. eSmart week offers a great opportunity for our school to educate students and parents on how to stay safe online while also encouraging them to be their best selves online. During the week, our students will participate in a range of fun and engaging activities that will help them learn about online safety and how to use technology in a positive and empowering way, these experiences may include:
As a parent, you play a crucial role in helping your child be their best self online.
Here are some tips to help your child stay safe and positive online:
Encourage positive behaviour: Encourage your child to use positive language and behaviour online, such as by complimenting others, expressing empathy, and standing up against bullying.
Use technology together: Use technology as a tool to connect with your child and explore their interests together. This can help you stay involved in your child's online activity and build a stronger relationship with them.
