SRC Report

We’ve had a jam-packed and exciting term so far!

SRC members and staff have been working very hard to create fun and exciting events for everyone to participate in while also supporting worthy causes.

Monday 22nd May was our Student vs. Staff Bake Off. We had many amazing entries, with our winners being Year 8 student Ayla B. in 1st place with her ‘Snails in a Brownie Garden’ creation, raising a whopping $63.70! 2nd place was staff member Karly Hargreaves with her ‘Garden Bed Cake’, raising $27.00, and 3rd, staff member Kerri Haworth's Red Velvet Butterfly Cupcakes raised $11.50. The total money raised from this event was $305, all of which was donated to the Cancer Council. Congratulations to all our winners, and well done to all the individuals who entered their creations.

In addition, Wednesday 17th May was the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, Intersexism and Transphobia, or IDAHOBIT. We celebrated this as a school through a casual clothes day on Friday 26th, which was a massive success that could not have been possible without our hardworking SRC members and the feedback from students encouraging us to initiate another casual clothes day.

We as a community are always looking to make Cheltenham Secondary College a comfortable and enjoyable environment for all to appreciate, so if you have any questions, suggestions or feedback, please do not hesitate to email or reach out to any of our teaching staff or school captains; Jasmine Hall, Tobias Swales, Mickey Moe and myself, so your ideas can be added to our meeting agenda. Your voice matters, and we look forward to hearing from you!
