Looking Back

Thanks to all those who attended the Mother's Day Morning. It was wonderful to see our school community gather and see the joy in the students who shared their talents. Thanks to our staff, led by Connie, who made it a celebration of our mums.

We have had many sporting events where our students have performed very well. I received a text from a past colleague who commented on how extraordinarily kind our group were. They are a credit to the school, their teachers….but more importantly, to you all.

Enrolments

Whilst we are only in May, in schools, we always have to look to the future. In line with that, we are planning for 2024. If you have a child starting Prep in 2024, please get in touch with the office so we can begin the enrolment. We want to provide many opportunities for these children to visit the school, so organising our enrolments is essential.

If you know someone who might be interested in attending Holy Family, please encourage them to come and have a look.

We have:

  • A calm environment
  • Small numbers create individual focus
  • Great teachers who are approachable
  • Ample spaces for students to play
  • Strong well-being support systems

Every day is an Open Day, so any parent that wants a tour and a chat about their child, including current families, is welcome to make an appointment, and I would love to take them around the school.

Parent Advisory Committee

A letter went home about this, but we are calling for parents to represent all parents. If you are interested, please email me at: psharp@hfdoveton.catholic.edu.au

Increased Signage

Increased Signage

We will be increasing the signage to ensure all see our wonderful community. One sign will have a welcome from different languages. Everyone is welcome here.

School Photos

School Photos

School photos will be taken on May 30th. You should have received information about ordering these photos.

Parish

Parish

I will attend the Sunday masses this week and look forward to meeting the community. We are all one community, and we will explore ways to build that connection with some good ideas from parents I spoke to this week!

BBQ

BBQ

Keep an eye out for a BBQ gathering we will be holding. We are just finalising dates, but it will be a free sausage sizzle for you to come and gather so I can meet more of you!

End-of-Day Collection

Many parents commented on how they missed the classroom when I spoke with them at the Mother's Day celebration. We are considering adjusting the end-of-school collection to allow you to visit classes while maintaining the popular car pick-up. We will have more information about this soon.
