My Heritage Day & Senior School Mid Year Event

The gospel is the good news that Jesus has come to save us from sin and death through his death on the cross and resurrection from the dead.  In doing so, not only has he broken the barrier between us and God but also the barriers between different cultures.

At LCS we celebrate diversity of culture by being a united community of faith.  The Bible says, “So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith ... There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus” (Galatians 3:26, 28).

To that end we are holding My Heritage Day where staff, parents and students are invited to dress in a way that represents their culture.  This could be traditional cultural attire, a sports outfit from your country of origin, or clothes in the colour of the flag of your country of origin.
