Dear Parents/Guardians
A big thank you to Trav Hunt and Michael Kearton who began the process of removing our playground equipment over the weekend. A big job! This will be finalised over the coming weeks and then the area will be excavated and levelled ready for the installation of our new equipment next term. Exciting times!
Over the next two weeks, there are two opportunities for you to come in and be part of the teaching and learning with your child/ren.
Learning Walk:
The purpose of a Learning Walk is an opportunity to come in and experience teaching and learning across the school in a specific curriculum area. It gives you the opportunity to see what is happening at your child/ren’s level and also the progress across the school.
Our focus this Friday is on Numeracy on Challenging Tasks.
Learning Walks take between 40-60 mins, we will meet in the office area to begin at 9:00 am.
Learning Expo:
The purpose of a Learning Expo is to give students an opportunity to share learnings from the term with an authentic audience. It also gives you as a parent an opportunity to come in and see some of the learning that has taken place over the term.
Learning Expo’s go from 2:15-3:15 pm, and it is up to you how long you spend.
A reminder that I will be away on long service leave for the last two weeks of this term and the first few weeks of next term. I am very grateful to have this time and the support of a great team at St. Joseph’s. Michael Kearton will be taking over my role with the support of our team at school and the Catholic Education Office staff, particularly our Principal Consultant, Kim Butler.
All are invited! St. Joseph's School. Monday 19th June 10:am.
Support the Australian Cancer Council.

BEECHWORTH BUS LINES
This email is being sent to all schools, with relevance to students who travel on the Beechworth-Chiltern route and get on/off at the current Woolshed Rd stop. I can provide the current update after being in communication with the manager of Regional Public Transport Hume (Department of Transport and Planning):
To avoid the above, and the understandable inconvenience, I aim to seek feedback from schools and parents so that a decision can be made on the proposed new stop in order to have this organised before the Department makes that decision.
Looking forward to hearing you at your earliest convenience.
If you have any questions do not hesitate to contact me.
Kind regards
Manager
Daniel Carey
