David's Message

Sail into a universe of possibilities...

You'll be pleased to know that myself and Anthony have had our second vaccinations, with many of our other staff also booked in to have theirs in the coming weeks. The government has now increased the eligibility for staff under 40 who work with students with disabilities and those with underlying health conditions. This will help to make our school a COVID Safe space for these children and help us get back to a normal existence. A huge thank you to all parents who have been amazing at getting our students settled back in to school and making sure you have been using the QR codes to check in when coming into the school buildings.

Jab done!
Jab done!

In term 3 we will be going through our school review. This happens every four years and is a great opportunity for parents, staff and students to share what we love about our school, and what we would like to create in the future. We will be holding some focus groups, sending out surveys and asking students to gain your input for the future in early term 3. If you have any burning queries or wonderings about what we do at the school, what we offer our students or how you would like to become more involved, please pop via the office and share some feedback via our post box. Alternatively, if you would like to speak with me outside of these feedback methods please come to the office or drop us an email to make an appointment.

The grade 4 classroom space has been transformed this week with new tables for our students and teachers, including some exciting whiteboard tables for small group instruction. We will keep working to improve this space in the coming year as Ms P and Mr Karim design and create the space around the ways that the students learn.

Parent Teacher interview bookings for Tuesday 13th July are now live through Xuno. This is the perfect opportunity to discuss your child's report that will come out next Friday, 25th June. If you need an interpreter to support you during this meeting please let your child's teacher know or speak with Anthony via the school office email.
