Office Updates:

Hi families,

The end of term has arrived, hope you all kept well. Here are some updates for you to keep in mind.

The CSEF (Camps, Sports Excursion Fund) applications have been extended until 13th August. School camps provide children with inspiring experiences in the great outdoors. Excursions encourage a deeper understanding of how the world works while sports teach teamwork, discipline and leadership.  All are a part of a healthy curriculum.

CSEF is provided by the Victorian Government to assist eligible families to cover the costs of school trips, camps and sporting activities.

If you hold a valid means-tested concession card or are a temporary foster parent, you may be eligible for CSEF. A special consideration category also exists for asylum seeker and refugee families. The allowance is paid to the school to use towards expenses relating to camps, excursions or sporting activities for the benefit of your child.

The annual CSEF amount per student is $125 for primary school students. Please see the office if you would like any further infromation or an application form.

Library News:

Winter is upon us so during the school holidays consider visiting the local public library to browse their book collections. Become a member if you are not already and borrow some books to continue reading over the holidays. They also have Premier’s Reading Challenge books for those who are doing it. We will continue with the Challenge next term. Be sure to add your books onto the Challenge website because you will not be able to pass the Challenge if you don’t. Your child’s user name and password are on the front of their purple folders.

There are many long term overdue books which need to be found. So please, during the holidays have a good look at home for any books you may have and send them to school in Term 3.

Canteen:

Happy birthday to everyone that had a birthday while we were away. I know some days it’s too cold for a zooper dooper pack, these cup cakes are a great alternative to celebrate with your class mates . Come and see me if you would like more information!

Sushi is still on the menu Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, a nice healthy snack. Soup and toasted Sandwiches are available for over counter sales on cold days. Looking forward to being busy in the next few weeks!

Stay safe everyone
