Evie Takes Home the Silverware

Article by Mr Joshua Hoffman, Head of Year 8

Congratulations to the talented Evie Gallacher, who recently starred in the Australian National Gymnastics Championships over in the Gold Coast.

Evie 'gymnastified' the arena with wild stunts, the likes of which the gymnastic community had never seen before.  Since the competition, Evie’s had more precious metals hanging around her neck than a jewellery store has for sale.  We’re talking not one, not two, but three, yes ladies and gentlemen, three medals!

The audience was dazzled by her spectacular double front flip with a half twist during the trampoline section, which led to her only missing out on the gold by .02 points! She set the arena on fire in the double mini and team tumbling sections, collecting another bronze and silver.

We are so blessed to have such a talented young lady at our College and look forward to seeing what the future brings to this gymnastics legend.
