Last week our Nunga Group made beautiful necklaces and earrings for Mothers Day. Using polymer clay, each student used the leaves or flowers from the Bush Tucker Garden and made an imprint in the clay. The result was amazing!

Next week is Reconciliation Week. Reconciliation Australia’s theme for 2021, More than a word. Reconciliation takes action, urges the reconciliation movement towards braver and more impactful action. 2021 marks twenty years of Reconciliation Australia and almost three decades of Australia’s formal reconciliation process. Reconciliation is a journey for all Australians – as individuals, families, communities, organisations and importantly as a nation. At the heart of this journey are relationships between the broader Australian community and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. To celebrate, Nunga Group will be going to Rec in the West, a yearly event at Tauondi College, engaging students in action towards reconciliation.
