Plans ahead for 2019
Plans are well under way for next year in the Kinder. The first major change will be farewelling Oriana Rumanno. Oriana has been an incredible support to me as a new staff member to Preshil, and I know that the Kindergarten will be a very different place without her. I would certainly like to personally wish her all the best for the next chapter in her life and thank her for such outstanding dedication and teaching this year in kinder.
We will be welcoming a new staff member to the kindergarten team. Poppy Woodhouse will be joining us to work with Suzanne, Courtney and myself. Poppy is an outstanding educator with teaching experience overseas, and in local kindergartens. Poppy recently received the 2018 award for National Early Years Educator of the Year, which is a significant achievement. There will be more opportunities later in the year to welcome Poppy but we are thrilled that she is joining us.
We are also delighted to be able to share that we have been successful in securing a grant from the Department of Education, to expand and renovate the kindergarten in 2019. Exciting new plans are well under way and we look forward to sharing these with families as they unfold. My thanks also goes to Bryce McLean for his help on the submission process.
