School Fundraiser
Buy a voucher - hand it into School by tomorrow! We just tipped over $2,500 in donated vouchers this morning! Way to go - thankyou!
Call up a local business or drop in to buy a voucher and then hand it into school (or you could post/email to us) by tomorrow.
After we collect all the voucher prizes we will then run an online raffle.
Dear Families,
Hopefully you have seen information about the raffle the school is running, on the website or in the newsletter. If not, please go and visit one of those platforms, to gain further information.
I have had many conversations with local people that are willing and wanting, to help raise funds for our school by supporting our local community. The time has come and the opportunity is here. If you want to help out a local company, please read below!
You have time to think about these steps, as October 30th is the final date to hand in your vouchers. If you would like to go in with other families and purchase larger vouchers, for a company with more expensive items, eg a piece of art/photography, accommodation, etc. Then that would be amazing and very much appreciated.
After October 30th, we will pool the vouchers and establish prizes. The raffle will be run via an online Raffle company. We really want to make this a big hug for our local companies and a fantastic way to finish of what has been another crazy year for the school but more importantly or local businesses.
Please spread the word and share the love.
Kind regards,
Joel Armitage

Dear Families,
Here at Mt Beauty Primary, we are extremely conscious that there are people in our community that are doing it tough at the moment and have been so for a long period of time. One group in particular that have been doing it extremely tough, are our local businesses, especially those that rely heavily on tourism. Prior to the virus hitting our shores in the beginning of 2020, our region’s businesses were devastated by evacuations due to bushfires.
We are aiming to run a fundraiser at school to raise funds for our school, but which will also in-directly support our local community as well.
Here is the plan; we run a raffle for the school and call on the support of local families, to purchase vouchers, from a local business of their choice. There is absolutely no pressure for families to participate in the donating of vouchers. It will simply be an opportunity for the families that are willing. Many local people have been desperate to try and help out our local businesses where they can. This raffle will provide that opportunity.
We will then use the vouchers donated as prizes and run a School raffle through an online platform. The funds raised will go towards extra equipment in the yard. There have been 2 main suggestions: a drinking tap near the path, on the pondage side of the school that could also be utilised by the community and secondly adjustable basketball rings or lower basketball rings, as a majority of the school students cannot reach the full size ones that are currently there.
If you would like to donate a voucher from a local company, please do so and hand it into the Office or email the voucher to the School. If you would like to see which businesses have already had vouchers purchased from them, so that you can share the love, then please contact us. Multiple vouchers can be purchased from one store, but it would be good to support as many businesses as we can.
The vouchers will be able to be donated up until October 30th. After that date, we will collate the prizes and use an online raffle company to sell the raffle tickets, to raise funds for the equipment for the school. That is when we will need all families to spread the word and try and sell as many tickets as we can. The draw will happen towards the end of the school year (exact date undecided).
I feel like this raffle will be a fantastic way to end the year and will have everyone finishing on an extremely positive note. Local businesses will feel the love and know that their community is right behind them, the school will hopefully gain support from far and wide and get the necessary funds to purchase the desired equipment and there will be happy people walking away with vouchers from our amazing local businesses.
Further information will be provided as the details unfold. Please feel free to purchase your vouchers and get the ball rolling on this big community hug. Anyone that is in a position to support our School and is willing to do so, your generosity will be very much appreciated.
Thank you,
Joel Armitage
