UNIT 4

THEATRE STUDIES PERFORMANCE EXAM

On Wednesday 20th October, Unit 4 Theatre Studies students gathered at the Karralyka Centre in Ringwood in order to present their monologues to a panel of examiners. At the beginning of Unit 4, students were given 10 different monologues to choose from. They also had to decide whether they wanted to present their monologue as an actor/director or create a presentation for two production roles. The production roles that they could choose from were - costume, make-up, lighting, sound, set and/or props.

The weather was kind to us, which given that we had to wait outside until the allocated time for each student, made the whole day much more enjoyable. For this exam the students are required to strictly adhere to time limits. They enter the building approx 15 mins prior, then they have 2 mins to enter the examination room and set up whatever they need. They then have 6 mins for their performance/presentation, 2 mins to read their Statement of Interpretation and 2 mins to pack up and exit the room - 12 mins in total.

I am so proud of the Unit 4 Theatre Studies class and for everything that they have been able to achieve this year.

And as they have just finished their written exam, they can now -
