Focus on Learning

Miss Sallie Pilgrim and Mrs Wendy Rheinberger

...the highlights so far!

There was an element of excitement in the air as the current St Joseph’s students and staff prepared to welcome the newest members to our beautiful school in Week 1 this term.  Not only were our Primary students proud to be seen as great role models, the Infants students demonstrated care and consideration for our Kinder Readiness children - especially on the playground.

Kinder Readiness children are given the opportunity to learn the routines and timetables of our school in a safe and supported environment.  Learning alongside each other, the children have definitely settled in well, from lining up after recess and lunch, to moving around the school for other activities such as Library and Sport.

From this experience of 2 half Fridays and 8 full Fridays, the children learn the skills they need to be ready to start Kindergarten in 2022!   Regular communication with families to support their child’s learning is encouraged and a fantastic way to be involved in their learning journey.

A great big thank you to Miss Pilgrim (Kindergarten teacher) and our awesome Education Assistants, Miss Allan, Mrs Darnell, Mrs Gamble and all the St Joseph’s staff, who make the learning experiences for the children so positive and engaging.  All children are learners, valued, respected and cared for and supported in a safe environment.

We cannot wait to begin the new year with these new students to our community at St Joseph’s Primary School.
