We pray for the Sisters of Mercy, who established our school and for the priests who have served at

                        National Reconciliation Week -

Goulburn Valley Deanery Mass celebrated at St.Mary's.

Today our Grades 5/6 students and members of our Indigenous community joined with more than 400 students from throughout the Goulburn Valley to celebrate and recognise the importance of National Reconciliation Week.  The theme of the Mass was "Grounded in Truth. Walk together with Courage."

There is widespread acceptance of our nation's history and agreement that the wrongs of the past will never be repeated - there is truth, justice, healing and historical acceptance.

The Mass was organised by the Aboriginal Network from the Catholic Education Office.  It commenced with a traditional smoking ceremony and then all the students, staff and visitors moved into the Marian Centre for our Liturgy which was led by Monsignor Peter.  The Mass featured some traditional aboriginal prayers, the playing of the didgeridoo and Aboriginal commitment ceremony.
