Across the Principal's Desk

Welcome Back!

It was great to see so many happy faces on yard duty Monday morning, following the school holiday period.  I hope you all enjoyed a bit of family time to recharge the batteries and look forward to the warmer Spring and Summer seasons.

Stay Connected

Communication is key for us all – please come and see us if you’re unable to get on any of the platforms listed below, that are essential for us to maximise your schooling experience and gain the best for your child/ren.

Our staff work tirelessly to provide crucial information and support your child to have the best learning experiences all year round – please support us in gaining the best and most efficient results by being connected.

To be an engaged and inclusive parent in our community, you need:

Sentral;

i-Newsletter

See-Saw; and

School Interviews.

3:20 Student Pick up

With the better weather on our door-step, please don’t become complacent in collecting students.  Our staff are on yard duty until 3:35pm each day prior to an announcement indicating students who haven’t been collected are to go to the Administration area.

Students who aren’t collected within 15mins of the 3:35pm timeslot may be placed in OSHC at a charge to the parent / carer.  We avoid this at all costs, however, our staff attend meetings on many evenings after school hours and we cannot guarantee supervision.

Playground rules apply before and after school, with allocated Foundation, Year 1/2 and Year 3-6 Playgrounds to only be occupied by the year level appropriate students.  Parents are welcome to supervise their own children on the correct playground after hours.

Week 2 Absence

Next week I will be away with the TeamVic representatives for the National Tennis Championships in Perth.

Kylie Nissen, Assistant Principal will be Acting Principal in my absence.

Quote of the Week– hmmm, I’m wondering about this one…

A leader is best when people barely know he exists, when his work is done, his aim fulfilled, they will say: we did it ourselves.  Lao Tzu
