Armadale Aspire Career Development Program Graduation, August 2018
The involvement of four of our students in the Armadale Aspire Career Development Program came to a conclusion on Monday 27 August with their formal Graduation evening. The Aspire students were presented with certificates and opportunities by the City of Armadale Mayor in front of family, friends, teachers, local business leaders and City of Armadale representatives, after sharing information on their experiences.
The Armadale Aspire program returned in 2018 after a successful pilot last year. The program links career development workshops and hands-on industry excursions within the City of Armadale.
Each of our Year 10 Aspire students met at the City of Armadale’s administration building once a week, for seven weeks. It was a a valuable experience for the students as they developed job interview techniques, prepared a resume and cover letter, participated in mock interviews, learnt about entrepreneurship, explored correct social media use for employment as well as learning other important career-readiness skills. Congratulations to Tanya, Bonnie, Sinead and Skye on your achievements!
You are invited to join our hospitality students in Chalk Café for breakfast on Tuesday 4 September. The students will be serving:
