This Week's Updates

Dear Families,

Happy Fathers' Day to all of the dads in our St James community. I hope you were spoilt in some way yesterday!

Here's a good dad joke to remember us all by:

What do you call a fly with no legs?      A walk!

We posted out NAPLAN results to most Year 3 and Year 5 families last week and unfortunately the post is quite slow ATM. We hand delivered a few to nearby families. Hopefully all Year 3 and Year 5 students receive their results by the end of the week.

Information regarding bookings for our online Learning Conferences for parent/student/teacher to participate in will hopefully be sent out today via email. Please make your booking for either Tuesday 14th or Wednesday 15th September.

Bookings open tonight at approx. 4pm.  Click here to access the link or check your email.

Current families who have a child starting in Prep next year are having a, 'Meet and Greet' catch up online this Thursday or next Tuesday.

Celebrations of the Sacrament of Confirmation scheduled for this Friday and Saturday have been postponed until we are able to gather in large groups at some stage during Term Four.

Please remember to remind your children to contribute to our journey around Australia organised by Mrs Wall. So far our leading teacher is Mr Sweatman, our leading student is Rose Bele (2S) and our leading house is Durkin (Red House). Our total kilometers travelled so far take us from Hobart to Brisbane. Students need to register their daily distance covered on the google form here.

Children who have ordered Book Club items are welcome to come down to the office to collect their orders. We also have some excess chairs and tables or desks with pull out drawers that you may find helpful to use, particularly in these times, or just might work in a cubby house. Please contact the office over the next week if you're interested in any of these items.

Teachers have sent out a slide set that families can add to with pictures or video clips from the walks you go on around your neighbourhood. Feel free to add to a slide over the next week.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Mardesic family - Anthony, Dannii and Juliana (3F) on the death of their beloved father and deda (Serbian for grandpa) 'Goran'.  May he rest in peace.

Stay safe,

Dave
