Wellbeing
Extending our support virtually, beyond the campus.
In light of the recent lockdown restrictions, our school has taken the extra step in extending our wellbeing support and pastoral care online. This means implementing an off-screen time during online classes to reduce fatigue but also to give students a chance to have leisure time. We are committed to ensuring students' wellbeing isn't sidelined during the lockdown, a number of resources available at the school and externally can be found here.
Our online lunchtime activities are a way to boost up morale and constantly check in with students' mental health.
DAY | TIME | ACTIVITY |
Monday | 1:00pm | QSA: QSA is a safe and supportive space to engage in discussion around LGBTQIA+ with fellow members from the community. |
Wednesday | 1:00pm | Art Club: Art Club allows students to release their emotions using colours on their canvas in a social setting. |
Thursday | 12:00-12:30pm | Doctors in schools: Students get face-time with experts and practitioners in the mental health field. |
Friday | 1:00pm | Drawsaurus: A pictionary game that presents students with the opportunity to connect with others when it may be challenging to do so virtually. |
Every year, the school joins Australia to recognize R U OK Day on 9 September 2021. This year, we we wanted to cheer our students up by offering them a live comedy show with the famous Comedian, Daniel Connell, who will be joining from his bathroom to break our students into much needed laughter! Daniel has performed at three Melbourne International Comedy Festival Galas and his most recent show completely sold out, so be sure to come along!
