Industry Insight Session – Building and Construction

Ourschool is excited to offer an opportunity for young girls interested in a career in building and construction industries, to attend an Industry Insight session to hear firsthand about the importance of being a woman working in this field. Sadly, only 2% of workers in these industries are female, and it is a growing industry that needs diversity.

What makes this opportunity more exciting for the Ringwood Secondary College community is that the current Regional Director of Multiplex is one of our very own alumni, Ross Snowball. Ross graduated from Ringwood Secondary College in 1990. He has been working in industry for years and has indispensable knowledge and experience that he has shared with his daughter, who also chose a career in the building and construction industry. Ross knows first-hand the importance of women taking up careers in this industry and how powerful their skills and knowledge are in developing a stronger future for us all.

If you are a female student in year 10 or 11 and want to pursue a career in building and construction, please let see Mrs. Doherty to sign up for this opportunity. Spots are limited so please express your interest early.
