For Urgent Sale from Our Kitchen Garden

Our Kitchen Garden team and students work hard to ensure what we grow is put to good use in our cooking classes so that students benefit from trying a variety of fresh foods in many different ways. There are times where we have a surplus of ingredients and this is where we manage to preserve a range of ingredients to either consume them at a later date during cooking classes, serve at the Mudbrick Cafe or sell them to our school community.

The latter two have been rather difficult with ongoing restrictions and we now have a selection of items that are absolutely delicious but have a limited shelf life. We would hate to see these items go to waste, therefore we're going to trial selling them via the below order form and keeping contact to a minimum!

Please complete the attached form and email to teesdale.ps@education.vic.gov.au by Monday 7th September. Orders will be collated and ready for pick up on Friday 10th September from the school office. Payment can be made by EFTPOS at the office. NO cash please. Your order will be confirmed via email prior to the collection date.

Garden Update

The 5/6 students had a productive day in the garden before we went back into lockdown. They successfully used a seed chart to figure out when to plant different vegetables. Cassidy removed the weeds from the garden and feed them to the chickens. Gus continued to cart the fruit tree clippings down to the bonfire. A small group of students planted out the raised bathtubs with herbs, so that the kitchen will have easy access to fresh herbs in the coming months, and Khoby and Levi had a great time clearing the courts of stones with the blowers. Well done 5/6’s can’t wait till we are back in the garden together.
