Special Persons Day

In lieu of Father's Day BBQ

From the Parents & Friends (P&F) Committee

Father's day is celebrated across Australia on Sunday 5th September.

In the past, NMPS celebrates with a breakfast BBQ. Known as 'Bring a Bloke to Breakfast' the event is put on by the Parents & Friends committee. Our students invite their dads, or any special men in their lives to share a special morning together. This has been postponed.

Working with current restrictions, the P&F team has created a special celebration in place of the breakfast BBQ. Our aim is to encourage the celebration of all the special people in the lives of our NMPS students and includes dads, granddads, uncles and neighbours, mums, grandmothers, aunties and siblings. Our family connections are ever more important whilst our movements around our wider community are limited.

An invitation

Check out our new website at www.nmps.fun where we are compiling lots of content, ideas and instructions to encourage interaction, connection and family celebration.

NMPS students have created instructional videos full of inspirational ideas for our Prep-Year 6 to celebrate Special Persons Day. Ideas include recipes, practicing yoga together, create some art, play a game or visit our special art gallery to see some tributes to the special people in our lives.

Live cookie bake-a-long!Online Cooking Session Sunday 5 September at 2 pm

Our highlight will be a LIVE cooking show on Sunday at 2 pm with Archer and Ryder from Year 5, where everyone is welcome to join in and cook along at home together and make a special treat to share.

We hope that this website celebration inspires your children to find a fun way to connect together offline so set aside some time this weekend to explore the things our kids have come up with.
