Message From Our

Principal

Dear Parents and Caregivers,

Next Wednesday evening our special Sacramental children will make their First Reconciliation, after spending the past few weeks preparing in their home groups. This is a special time for them as they learn about forgiving others, being forgiven and God’s love for us. Please pray for the children receiving this Sacrament for the first time. Last Sunday, we had a Children’s Mass and it was lovely to see so many of our families coming along to the Mass and participating.

Next week we are celebrating Book Week and the joy books bring to us all. There are various activities planned for the week finishing with our Book Parade on Friday, Aug 25th at 9am.  Children can come dressed as their favourite book character. We especially welcome our preschoolers who are also invited to dress up for the parade. Families are very welcome to join us.

I hope all our dads, grandfathers, stepdads and other special friends have penciled September 1st into their diaries ready for our Bloke’s Breakfast.  You are invited to come along to school for breaky with your children before heading off to work or joining us for our Athletics Carnival that also takes place that day. Please complete the attendance survey under PAM notifications for catering purposes.

Fee statements were sent out to families earlier this term. Thank you to those families who have paid their school fees in full or who have arranged a payment plan so all fees are paid by the end of the 2023 school year. I urge families to make consistent contributions so the debt does not get to the stage where it becomes difficult to pay. As always, if you are experiencing financial hardship, please contact me for a confidential discussion.

Thank you to all the families who have been selling lots of tickets for our raffle. Please take some more books from the office if you are able to sell them. There are some fantastic prizes to be won which will be drawn on our Athletics Day.

As was announced last week, I will be finishing my principal role at Sacred Heart at the end of the 2023 school year.  Catholic Education Sandhurst will work with the school community to select a new principal to commence in 2024 and beyond and you will be informed as soon as the announcement is made. Please be assured I will continue in this role for the remainder of the year, ensuring a smooth transition into the 2024 school year.

May the Sacred Heart of Jesus continue to watch over our school community and bless us always.
