Towards a better Brunswick

Fundraising & Grant success!

Karen Harris

Principal

Thanks to our wonderful community for their generous contributions to our Grounds Renewal Project Fundraiser. We have so far raised $13,909 – what a great result!

The fundraising campaign will remain active; if you’d like to contribute, visit the Brunswick Secondary College Grounds Renewal Fundraiser - asf.org.au/projects/brunswick-secondary-college

Federal Schools Upgrade Grant

Our Grants & Fundraising working group has obtained a Federal Schools Upgrade Fund grant of $25,000 for an outdoor classroom, which will also help to provide more social seating for our students during breaktimes. In addition to this, BSC's Parents’ Association has committed $10,000 to go towards the first phase of grounds works, as well as proceeds from the upcoming Trivia Night.

Consolidating funds for this type of project is a real team effort. Thank you to all the families who have contributed funds, time, effort, support and more.

Surveys

Our school is creating a landscape masterplan to inform the development of the school

grounds as funding becomes available through grants, fundraising efforts and the like.

We’ll be sharing surveys with all students and staff to get feedback to inform these plans, so we can assess what areas are currently working well, where we can improve things and what development to prioritise. We'd like to create outdoor spaces that make everyone in the school community feel at home. Survey results will be shared with the community.
