FROM THE PRINCIPAL

"Many Wolves .... One Pack"

Term 3 - Week 3

On Monday I returned to St Nicholas after an extended break where I traveled this magnificent country with my family. Our adventure incorporated driving from Darwin to Adelaide, via Uluru. A magnificent experience and a reminder of the beautiful country we live in.

This time away came on the back of a six week secondment to the Catholic Schools Office in the role of a School Performance Leader. During this time the St Nicholas school leadership team took on extra responsibilities, particularly Renee Dunst as Acting Principal.

While thanking Renee and the Leadership team, I would also like to acknowledge how fortunate we are at St Nicholas to have a leadership team of enormous capacity and wonderful character.

Grandparents day

On Friday St Nicholas celebrated Grandparents Day. Coinciding with Wednesday’s feast of St Anne and Joachim, Grandparents day is an opportunity to celebrate and thank our grandparents for their love and support. As a school we were delighted with the response, with over 500 of our Nan’s, Pop’s and school community celebrating with us.

Feedback from our Grandparents has been extremely positive and I thank all involved in the preparation and delivery of this community event.

Have a great week,

John Clery
