From the Principal

Our Vision

Each child has a gift or talent. It is our job to find it and to show it to them.

Our Mission

Identify the talent, develop the confidence and create the leader.

What do we live for, if it is not to make life less difficult for each other?

Inclusive Garden

The project is visibly taking shape. The pathway connecting the garden to the rest of the school has been created. Totem poles, native grasses, shrubs and trees have been planted. The giant nest and Bunjil sculpture are the next elements to be added. It is worth walking up to the temporary fence to take a closer look at the progress. The project will be completed by September.

Student Light House (Semester 2) Team

The Semester 2 Team was elected last week. On Wednesday the new members meet for their first council meeting. The team members: Piper (FA), Annabel (F B), Kai (12A), Grace (12B), Gus (12C), Jaxon (34A), Marine (34B), Luke (34), Charlie (5A), Hugo (56) and the school captains Lucy, Sahana, Riley and Seb. At the first meeting the students introduced themselves, reflected on the achievements of the Semester 1 team, and offered their ideas and suggestions for Semester 2. The team is dynamic and have great plans to improve the school.

100 Days of School

On Wednesday the Foundation and Year 6 students came to school dressed as 100-year-olds, to celebrate 100 days of school for 2023. There were a range of fun activities and the Foundation students enjoyed themselves alongside their buddies. Parents and grandparents visited, which made the day wonderful.

Movie Making

The filming of the 2023 class and teacher movies is coming to an end. The teachers will finish shooting in two weeks, then Bruce Grantford will start the editing process. Payment for the service is now overdue and all outstanding balances can be made on Compass. It will be another great night in November, when we come together to see ourselves on the big screen at Village Cinemas. Screening details will be posted in term 4.

2024 Enrolments

The student enrolment has now reached the school’s capacity. 41 Foundation students are enrolled for next year and Le Page Primary School can only take enrolments from within the school zone. School zones can be found via a web search by entering Find My School then entering your home address. Enrolments are now due for Foundation 2024 and should be lodged before August 31st.

Student Disco

On Friday August 18, the Social and Fundraising Team, parents and students will come together for the annual school disco. It is always a fun activity for the students and always well managed by the parents. See Compass for details.

Trivia Night

Last Saturday, the Social and Fundraising Team held Le Page Primary School’s first Trivia Night. More than 80 school community members attended raising over $7,000 for the refurbishment of the school hall. There were colourful and interesting costumes, auctions, games, and fun rivalry between table teams. The Le Page Primary School parents continue to support and drive the school in a positive direction. The parents have a strong synergy, which has created a welcoming, inclusive and dynamic culture. We thank every parent and carer who gave time and effort to ensure the night was memorable. We are blessed to be members of the Le Page Primary School community.
