SPECIAL VISITORS

Coming up on Friday, September 1st we will welcome into our school for the day sixteen students and three staff from Yarralin primary school in the N.T.

Yarralin, also known as Walangeri, is a remote Aboriginal community in the Northern Territory of Australia. At the 2016 census, Yarralin had a population of 293. The community is located on the banks of the Wickham River, about 15km west of Victoria River Downs, a major cattle station along the Buchanan Highway. Yarralin is situated in the western part of the Northern Territory, near the Victoria River. It's a remote and culturally significant area, often visited for its natural beauty and traditional indigenous culture.

We look forward to finding out more about their area and culture as we join in games, artwork and share a meal together. There will be more details to follow on next week’s newsletter.
