We Remember

Leonie Gordon-Cooke

Our College community was shocked and deeply sadden to hear of the passing of Leonie Gordon-Cooke on the weekend.

Leonie was a student at Wedderburn College from Prep in 2006 to completing her Year 12 VCE in 2018. 

Staff at the college remember Leonie for her forthright disposition. We loved Leonie for her no-nonsense approach to her peers and staff. Leonie always wore her heart on her sleeve.

Leonie was an intelligent young woman who was an avid reader with a sharp wit. She enjoyed the prospect of ‘taking it up’ to the teacher if she thought they were wrong. Leonie had a strong moral compass.

We remember Leonie as being a loyal friend to her tight knit friendship group here at school. 

The College sends their love and support to Leonie's family, in this most difficult time.
