Welcome back to all our families and a special welcome to our new families particularly those in our mid-year Foundation entry who have settled in and feel like they have always been here. The mid-year entry is a first for us and will give those children 18 months in Foundation. We are grateful to the Early Years team and the wider staff who came together to be ready for day one of term.

Foundation Enrolments 2024

If you have a family member or friend who is planning to enrol their child for 2024, please do so as soon as possible as the class is 50% full. Similarly, if you know someone who is looking for a school for 2024, please ask them to contact the office and book a tour as we have limited vacancies across other year levels. If your time in Alice is coming to an end, please remember that a full term's notice of your departure is required to avoid being billed. Class numbers have a significant impact on our funding and our capacity to continue to provide our quality programs.

Our finance team will be contacting families in the next month to ensure they are on track to pay their outstanding fees or have entered a payment plan to have their outstanding amount paid by the end of the year as per the enrolment contract. If you are having trouble meeting your payments, please contact me directly at lisa.goldsworthy@ntschools.net to chat.

The board have set a uniform standard for Living Waters and one of those standards involves shoes and socks. The expectation is that students will have plain white ankle socks with no logos, and majority black sneakers. Please make sure your child is wearing the correct uniform. We also have a significant number of unnamed lost hats and jumpers; I know as a parent these are costly items to replace. If you need a marker pen to label, please pop into the office.

Lots of exciting things are to come this term including 100 years of schooling, school concert, case conferences, Basketball NT partnership, Jump Rope for Heart, cross country and district cross country and student led conferences. Student led conferences are an opportunity for students to talk to family about what they are learning, the success they have had and the challenges they face in their learning. It’s a time to set goals as the teacher, student and family to work together to grow our learners. I encourage you to regularly check your child’s Seesaw to see examples of their learning and what they are learning about. If you need help with accessing or using Seesaw, please reach out to your class teacher. Seesaw is also where we circulate information about events.
