Term 3 Week 8

Ski Day

A great day was spent at Falls Creek for our Ski Day. Snow was falling as we arrived and started again before we left which was very exciting for everyone. The snow was great for skiing so all the children had a great day and continued to develop their skiing skills. The improvement in the children’s skiing abilities from one year to the next is remarkable. When our Moyhu children attend the Ski Camp it really shows how this day develops their skills. Thank you to all of the parents who came along to help and ski. Thank you to Peg, our Italian Teacher who also came along for the day to help us.

Ski Camp

A great 3 days was spent on the snow with our year 4-6 students last week. A big thank you to both Liz Proft and Emma Shanley for giving up their time for these 3 days, to help make the camp a wonderful experience. Observing the children work hard on their skills, using persistence, perseverance and being a learner to gain success was very satisfying for me as their Principal. All the children who attended, should be congratulated on their behaviour and attitude on the camp . Along with photos in the gallery on this newsletter other video and photo are on the school facebook page.

Sand pit

We now have nice new sand in our new sandpit. It is a big hit. Thanks to Dave Suffield for organising and getting the sand in. All the children have spent lots of time playing in it this week.

Kate's Last Day

Tomorrow, Friday,  is Kate’s last day teaching at Moyhu Primary before she goes on maternity leave for Term 4. We wish Kate all the best. It is an exciting time for both her and Dan, as they welcome a new member to their family.
