Senior School

Senior School Snapshot
The past few weeks have been a busy time in the Senior School. Fiona Kyrkou (Senior School Manager) has left for some well deserved long service leave for the rest of this term. Chris Sheehan will be standing in as Senior School Acting Manager, while Helen Caine has joined the Senior School team as Year 11 coordinator for the rest of the term. We also welcome back Zaiga Bendrups from her time in the finance administration and we thank Helen Galouzis for her work in the Senior Centre office since Term 2.
Most of the Senior School 1:1 subject selection interviews have now been completed. Class selection and timetabling numbers are now being crunched and we hope to have individual students’ course allocations for next year being available within the next 2-3 weeks. It was pleasing to note that about 90% of the student interviews were conducted with 1, 2 or even 3 parents/guardians present.
Valedictory tickets are now on sale for Year 12 students for the big event on Wednesday 24 October at "Lincoln on Toorak". Tickets can be purchased through Trybooking (follow the link on Compass).
Applications are now open for student leadership positions for 2019. If you are in Year 11 this year and want to be part of the student leadership team next year then check out the information on Compass. Applications close on Friday 24 August.
On 31 July our Year 10 students attended a new road safety education program, Road Smart. This program, run by VicRoads, is aimed at students who are just about to get their L-plates or who have just got them. As part of the program students are being offered a free driving lesson with a VicRoads approved instructor. Consent forms are due back at the Senior school office by Friday 24 August.
