P&F Meeting Tonight (11th April 2018)

All Welcome to the P&F Meeting tonight - 5.30pm in the staff room.  There will be discussions on our major fundraisers for the year.

About the P&F President

Naomi D’Arcy – P&F President

I have lived in Armidale since 2000, after moving from Sydney.  I have two girls at St Mary’s, Heather in Yr 6 and Lydia in Yr 4 this year.  I work for the Diocese of Armidale in the Bishop’s Office as Administrative Assistant.

In the past I taught at St Mary’s and always loved the atmosphere of the school both as a teacher and as a parent.  St Mary’s fits well for my family and we feel we belong to a beautiful community.

Why did you become involved in the P&F?

The past President and Vice President resigned and there was a desperate call from the school to fill these roles.  I wanted to continue the good work that the previous P&F had done. I thought I’d just fill in for a while but I’m still here!

What do you see as the role of the P&F?

The P&F work with the school to encourage the parents to be involved and take an interest in their children’s school.  We aim to assist the school to provide resources that will benefit the whole school.

We help provide the warm family welcome that St Mary’s is known for.

Is it difficult to fit P&F into your life?

Not at all. My girls and I love being part of the school community and helping out when we can.

Meetings are only once a month and never in school holidays. I like to know what is going on and to get others involved.  It is all about what we can achieve together.
