Green Thumbs Kitchen Garden Club

On Tuesday the 10th of April, the Green Thumbs cooked for the first time this year. They were fantastic at reading the recipe, following instructions and cleaning up after themselves. We cooked a delicious Waldorf Salad, a garden salad, a lemon and garlic salad dressing and an orange and honey dressing. To finish our banquet we had some refreshing fruit kebabs. It was delicious! Well done Green Thumbs!  Our favourite salad was the Waldorf Salad which we made without nuts.  The recipe is attached to this newsletter.

Lost Property

Thank you to Mrs McCann for going through the Lost Property baskets and ensuring named items were returned to classrooms today.  This process is carried out at least 4 times a term.  The photo below shows how many clothing items etc are collected from the baskets and returned regularly.  Please encourage your children to check the baskets if they have lost clothing as  it is often there!

Please take the opportunity over the holidays to ensure labels that are faded and difficult to read are replaced or refreshed - sometimes it is impossible to identify an owner.

All unidentified items are donated to the Clothing Pool.

Clothing Pool - Jumpers

The Clothing Pool has lots of jumpers at the moment.  Until the end of Term 1, we will be selling them for $2 each.  This is a great opportunity to pick up a spare jumper.

A reminder that Clothing Pool opening hours is Thursday afternoons 2.30 pm - 3.10 pm.
