End of Year Celebration - Friday 29th November

Spring is in the air and the summer holidays are around the corner and no wits time for our End of Year Celebration. This year’s theme is to coincide with the building works “Let’s Build it Together – wear Hi Vis”.

Parents & Friends invites all OPS families new and current to join us on

  • Friday 29th November
  • 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on our Ormond PS grounds.
  • Please book via Trybooking  so we know numbers for catering.

It will be a BYO picnic party with a BBQ (sausages and burgers) on the side.  Our new Icy Poles/Ice Creams will also be available to purchase.

** Cash only for all purchases **

We are in need of volunteers on the night of this event, there will be a sign up sheet provided shortly. Alternatively, please email P&F if you are available to lend assistance.

Student Disco

Thank you to everyone who came along to the OPS Fright Night Disco last Friday. We hope you had a spooktacular time with your friends.

The dress ups were amazing - we had a princess bride, a ghost, a zombie or two and even Thor turned up for the later session!

The photo booth was a big hit and it was great to see everyone having fun with the various props within their photos (teachers included!).

The face painting and 'scare' boxes were also a hit, especially with the younger grades.  Meanwhile the older grades (even the Year 6 boys) were content 'busting their moves' to Billie Elish & Post Malone.

Our aim this year was to make the disco feel 'age appropriate', especially for the older years and to provide activities for students who are uncomfortable dancing.

Thank you to Year 3 volunteers for organising the disco this year. We also want to thank Bop Till You Drop for providing the music and entertainment and Smile 4 Me for their Photo Booth.

A very special thanks to Kerri McLeod and her team for helping out on the night, and to Margot Hudson and the Performing Arts Captains for their support in putting on the event.

We're always contactable!!

Do you have a question, suggestion, offer of help? There is no need to wait for an invitation to contribute, as you can always contact P&F via our central email address. Simply write to p.and.f.ormond@gmail.com
