Congratulations Sam Walk!

A huge congratulations to Sam Walk who is currently overseas representing Australia in the International Baseball in Japan. Sam has been an integral part of our Mixed T-Ball and Softball Teams both this year and last year and has represented his team so well helping teach other students about the game he loves. We also just received notification that Sam has made the State School Sports Victoria under 12 Softball Team. Well done Sam on all your hard work not only representing Mount View but Victoria and Australia.

Congratulations Charlotte

SSV U/12 Softball Team

What an amazing effort from Charlotte Lee to make the School Sport Victoria U/12 Softball team whilst she is only still in Year 4!!! Charlotte has already made some great contributions to our school softball teams and we can’t wait to see her progress over the next few years. Well done Charlotte on making the team at such a young age!!

Division Netball

On the 18th of July, the Girls Gold A netball team competed in a division tournament. Everyone did an amazing job, and all the hard work payed of as we won the final tournament and are now progressing to regionals. Each of our team members unique and adept skills, allowed everyone to contribute to this team victory. All 8 of us have worked incredibly hard, but we couldn’t have done it without our coaches. Thank you to Mrs Ashcroft and Mrs Whykes for coaching us and making us the great team we are now.

Division T-Ball Finals

Girl's Team 1

On Thursday the 18th July three team teams from Mount View played a tee ball tournament at Jells Park. The Girls Gold A team played 3 games winning 2 and losing the semifinal so didn’t quite make the grand final. The other girls tee ball team did win so they will go to the Region Final. A big thank you to Miss Baxter who was the coach of the A team all season and did a great job coaching everyone who played in the team.

On Thursday the 18th of July we competed in the T-Ball Division Tournament. We played 4 epic games against Essex Heights, Pinewood and Jells Park. We won all our games and then made it into the Grand Final against Essex Heights. It was a tough match and both teams played really well but in the end we came out on top with a score of 13-4. Huge should out to Grace for coaching us and to everyone in the team for playing 4 amazing games. We all had loads of fun and always encouraged each other. Over all it was an amazing experience and we are all excited to go to regionals.

Mixed Team

Last Thursday the boys/mixed T-Ball team competed at the Division competition against 4 other teams, these teams were Mulgrave, Pinewood and Jells Park. We had a great time and made a triple play in the Grand Final! Thank you Mr Goldstraw for coaching on the day and thank you to Miss Baxter for providing us with some hot tips when we needed it, and our final thank you goes to Danny Walk for coaching us during the whole season. In the end we had a great time and we are all excited that we are going to regionals.

State Cross Country

Congratulations to Emily Kamphausen who represented Mount View at State Cross Country! Emily ran a fantastic race to finish 57th in Victoria, well done Emily! Congratulations also to our Multiclass team with Elyn L placing 3rd, Ethan G 2nd, and Ryder M-H 1st!

On Thursday the 18th of July Mount View students went to State Cross Country. Kyson ran super fast. Emily did really well and came 57th. Thank you to Mrs Ashcroft and Mrs Whykes for helping us all run.
