2020 Relay for Life
The 2020 Relay for Life will be held at the Domain Athletics Centre on 21 - 22 March. Students are invited to join our team and walk for an hour or more to help raise money and awareness in support of the Cancer Council Tasmania. To register or donate, go to fundraising.cancer.org.au and search for "Friendlies 2020". Note that only students who have already registered for the Organising Committee will be permitted to stay overnight (10pm-6am). Year 7 Camps
Introductory three-day camps have been organised for all Year 7 students between 19 and 28 February at Far South Camp.
The purpose of the camp is for students and teachers to get to know each other and to develop positive and supportive working relationships. The key teaching groups will attend as follows:
Penn and Walker: Wednesday 19 February - Friday 21 February 2020 (Key Teachers: Paul Goodluck and Lauren Grieve)
Backhouse and Fry: Monday 24 February - Wednesday 26 February 2020 (Key Teachers: Trish Menadue, Peter Gibson and Jen Fearn)
Mott and Oats: Wednesday 26 February - Friday 28 February 2020 (Key Teachers: Nicola Collins and Mark Hynes)
Further information has been sent out via CareMonkey and parents are asked to update health and dietary requirements, and indicate swimming ability no later than Friday 14 February.
Reminder: Immunisations
The first immunisation session will be held at the School on Tuesday 17 March. This will happen during the course of the day. Year 7 students will receive HPV (Human Papillomavirus), dTpa (Diptheria, Tetanus, Pertusis) and Year 10 students will receive the Meningococcal ACWY vaccine. The consent forms need to be returned to the School by Thursday 20 February.
