SCSA Swimming Carnival

The SCSA Swimming is always a highlight of the PCW school calendar. Representing your school means not only you can showcase your talents but you are a part of a team. For those girls who participated having the opportunity to swim at such a prestigious venue must make you feel very special.

Again a huge thankyou to our head coach Mr Simon Gitson and to Ms Lori Galli and  Rachael Maddox for their continued support and dedication to getting the students up to speed. I must acknowledge Lucy McKeown at CBC for allowing us to use their fabulous pool.

It was a fantastic evening with parents, families and teachers attending to support the Swim Team. Division 2 is an excellent standard of competition and with some of our students achieving a PB (Ava McQueen in the 100m) along with Teena Getulio who finished half a pool length in front of her peers it was great to see.

PCW finished a credible 5th Place with the Juniors and Intermediates finishing  5thoverall and our Senior Team placing 1st.

Congratulations to Charley Mau, Rose Mavric, Teena Getulio, Oriana Hasker, Matilda Campbell, Ella Hickey, Paige Connor, Katya Adkin, Isabella Harper, Natasha Waine, Lahne Scrivener, India Spragg- Harris. A special mention to Laura Patterson as well.

It’s time to say farewell to a beautiful time in my life. I am sad to leave this lovely school and have been grateful for my short time here.

I would like to thank the PCW community for opening their arms to me.

The students and staff have all been incredibly supportive, helpful and go above and beyond in all they do.

I will miss your smiling faces and friendly greetings.

If ever find yourself in Hay you must be lost or coming to visit please know there is always a bed for you.

All the best
