In the blink of an eye we find ourselves at the end of Term 1, and what a busy term it has been! In recent weeks we have seen the Year 7 and 8 Medieval Day and Poetry in Action, Year 9 program and camp, the Year 12 formal, Open Day, MYP conversations with parents and the Principal…the list goes on! Thank you to everyone involved in organising events for our students throughout Term 1. We are pleased to offer a range of experiences to enhance student learning.
Parent-Teacher Progress Interviews
These will occur during the day and evening on Wednesday 24 April. Trish Chester has emailed parents with information on how to make interview bookings along with the times for the day. These interviews provide an opportunity for you to meet your daughter’s teachers and to find out her progress so far this year, strengths and areas for continued improvement.
Students will receive an interim report that addresses their quality of work as well as their skills for learning (organisation for learning, application to learning, engagement) which have been assessed against a rubric (available here). Parent relationships with the College are extremely important in ensuring student success in their learning. We encourage parents to attend the progress interviews as well as continue to access feedback on assessment tasks via the portal.
If you have any questions regarding the parent-teacher interviews please contact me.
I congratulate our students for the commitment to their studies throughout Term 1. Easter is when we celebrate as a community the rising of Jesus after his death on the cross. As Term 1 concludes and we move into the school holidays may the peace and joy of the Risen Christ be with us all. I wish you a relaxing holiday break.
