Crazy Socks Fundraiser 

Well done to our VCAL students who successfully ran a crazy sock day this week. The day raised $168 that will be donated to the Leave No One Behind- Down Syndrome Day campaign. The girls planned and ran the day as part of their studies.

Isabella Harper Year 11, has been in Sydney this week to compete in the Australian Athletic Championships at Sydney's Olympic Park in Triple Jump & Long Jump.

 Isabella qualified for the triple jump at the All Schools Championships last November.  She recently competed in the Victorian State Athletic Championships winning two silver medals in triple jump and long jump.   This qualified her for nationals in the long jump which came as a big surprise as she has always sat about 6th in the state.    

Isabella will compete on Thursday for Triple Jump and Friday night for Long Jump.  Her brother competes on Wednesday in the Javelin.

We can't wait to hear about your experience in these National championships.

Emma Winfield 

has been chosen in the Team Vic 15U Netball Championships to represent SSV. The competition will be held at Caloundra Indoor Stadium from the 20 – 26th July. This is a tremendous effort considering she is the younger age and was not expecting to be picked.
