Careers at PCW: Term 1 report
Year 8s: On 13 March, year 8 students considered the importance of self awareness in Career decision making. In this session students identified their learning style (Visual, Auditory, Kinesthetic) and their ‘Intelligence Style’ and looked at Careers aligned with these.
Year 10s: On 20 March, Year 10 students attended a Work Experience briefing at which the processes and procedures were outlined. Some wonderful Year 11 students shared their Work Experience stories
Year 9s: participated in two Career sessions this term. The first focused on part-time employment and applying for jobs – job search strategies, resumes/cover letters, interview skills and how to apply for a Tax File Number. The second session focused on Workplace rights and Career Planning – with students developing a Career Action Plan.

National Youth Science Forum Jan 2020

Learn about; VCE subjects, tertiary courses, careers, employment opportunities and gap year options.
When/time: Thurs 2nd & Fri 3rd May from 9am until 3pm. Sat 4th & Sun 5th May (10am-4pm)
