Head Lice Checks
The final head lice check for 2013 has been completed. Regular scheduled checks have been used over the last few years in order to manage outbreaks of head lice in the school. This program will be continued in 2014.
Brick Fundraiser
At the close of the fundraising period a total of over 170 bricks had been ordered by the Ormond community. Thank you to all families who have supported this fundraising initiative. The orders will now be placed with the supplier so that the bricks will be ready for inclusion in the Rebound Wall when construction begins in January/February 2014.

Class Groupings 2014
I have now closed the period for parents to write highlighting students’ social or educational needs regarding class groupings for 2014. The classes for 2014 will be announced on Monday, 16th of December. Each child will bring home the class lists for their particular year level.
Dogs at School
The issue of unsupervised dogs being left outside the school grounds has presented problems recently. Unattended dogs are often anxious being away from their families and can tend to snap at strangers, particularly children, who venture too close. Please supervise your dogs at all times or leave them at home.
Transition
In preparation for the 2014 school year students at all year levels have been involved in a multi-stage transition program over the last few weeks. This has meant that all students can approach the next year with great confidence.
School Council
The final School Council meeting for 2013 will begin at 6:00pm on Wednesday, 11th of December. I would like to acknowledge the contribution to the school made by the School Councillors throughout the year.
Thank you to School Council President, Frank Arrigo, for his leadership and thank you to Leanne Berryman, Ric Birkett, Jo Harty, Anouk Sherman, Di Wiseman, Danita Tucker, Adam Gibson, Cath Shaw, Lorrie Dell, Helen Fraser and Jay Tucker for their great contributions and dedication throughout 2013.
There have been great successes achieved in line with the School Council Strategic Plan. I am confident that, as a team, we will continue to build on these achievements next year.
Brick Shed, Bike Shelter & Rebound Wall
The plans for this construction program have been delivered to the school this week. The School Council will shortly nominate a builder and construction will commence in the new year.
End of Year Arrangements
The Final Assembly for 2013 will begin in the Hall at 1:00pm on Friday, 20th of December. The school year will conclude at 1:30pm.
