Summer Interschool Sports

Congratulations and thank you to all the Grade 5 and 6 students who were involved in the sports carnival held last Thursday 24th and Friday 25th of March. Altona Green competed against the other schools from the Laverton District that include Queen of Peace, Seabrook, Altona Meadows, Laverton and St. Martin de Porres. Here are the sports results and some highlights from the students involved on the day.

Hockey results:

Altona Green Girls – 1st place.
Altona Green Boys/Mixed – 4th place.

Highlights:

I was really pleased with my efforts to score 10 goals over the course of the 3 matches. Madeline Y 6F
I had fun playing hockey on a proper ground. Anthony NG 4/5J

Cricket results:

Highlights:

I was so proud of myself for taking a catch against Seabrook A. Ava B 6F
I really enjoyed making 8 runs off hit! Sam B 4/5J

Tee ball results:

Altona Green Boys/Mixed – 1st place.

Highlights:

I really enjoyed playing against Queen of Peace because it was a must win game to go through. Emily S 6C
My proud moment was running around all the bases for a home run. Thanks to Luca B for a great hit. Mia H 6C

Basketball results:

Highlights:

My favourite part of the day was feeling all the energy and excitement about the tournament ready to kick off! William T 6F

My highlight was when it was announced that the girls team won. We couldn’t believe it! Stella H 6F

Highlights:

Over the whole day I only lost one doubles match. Jayden G M 6F
