Parents and Friends Association

What is the PFA?
The PFA runs activities that develop stronger connections between families in the school; develop stronger connections between families and the school, including staff; provide a positive experience for children that the school would not normally be able to provide. If the positive experience for children is achieved through raising some money and using that to provide something for students, that is fine, but it is not the primary focus.
2021 activities included: Foundation Parents Welcome Morning Tea, Virtual Disco, French food fundraiser, Teachers Appreciation Day - Thank you packs for the teachers and staff of RNPS, Christmas Card Fundraiser, Welcome back to school decorations, End of year gifts for Specialist teachers and office staff, icy poles on picnic day.
What will I have to do if I am on the PFA?
If you are on the PFA you do not have to plan and help at every event and you determine what time you can commit: no one will pressure you into doing more. If members do not have enough time to support an activity, then they do not run (there is not a list of activities that the PFA has to run – everything is optional and based on what members can support). Many people doing a little ensures we can run a number of successful activities for the School.
There are two meetings per term, focussed on activities for the school, inclusive and social (and you can send apologies if you cannot attend).
