The very successful Junior School House Athletics Carnival took place at the beautiful Mt Waverly grass athletic tack on Thursday 3 March in spectacular weather. It was great to have families back to this very important event, and it was lovely to see the students embracing the events and displaying great spirit.

Congratulations to all the students with their efforts, who participated fiercely for their House and who displayed great sportsmanship. Congratulations to Ruthven for the win on the day with 638.50 points and Thomson who had 575.50 points.

Congratulations to the Age Champions:

Thank you to Mrs Clapp, the JS staff and parent helpers for putting on a great event.

The annual parents race was one of the highlights from the day!

JS Musical Rehearsals

Only a few days left until "Seussical Kids" hits the PAC stage.

The cast and crew have been rehearsing hard and getting ready for next week's performances. We hope to see the Huntingtower community support our JS students as they perform their first production in 2 years!

Clean Up Australia Day

As part of our Integrated Studies Unit ‘Community’, the Year 2s learned about clean up Australia and decided to clean up HT.

Year 2 Cooking

Here are some photos of the Year 2s making Dr Seuss’ ‘Cat in the Hat’ pizzas and fruit hats today. They were certainly a fun and bright activity, and a good way of combining the Musical and Kitchen Garden.

STEM

The JS students love learning about the STEM program at Huntingtower and spending time at the STEM sustainability centre and garden - they especially like getting to play with the chickens and even collecting eggs!

Carp Performance

The Foundation and Year 1 class had lots of fun last Friday thanks to a special performance from the Carp Production! The interactive show was all about "Happy Being Me" and the kids had a blast!

Year 5 - Science

Year 5 students have been eagerly watering their plants each morning and hoping that they will grow through the maze they have created. Boxes are sealed up with a small hole at the top where they sunlight can get through. We look forward to seeing the plants sprout and make their way through the maze in the coming weeks.
