Grade 3/4 Students

Celebrating our tremendous Threes and fabulous Fours !

3/4A - Mrs Bryant

This week in 3/4A we have been working diligently on our narratives, focusing on creating exciting and well thought out endings, as opposed to quick fix endings like “to be continued…” or “it was all a dream.”

In Wellbeing, we’ve had lots of fun researching the Character Strengths and identifying our own on a shield.

3/4B - Miss Brook

Last week in Gardening, we had a special treat! We went into our kitchen and made some fruit filled pastries. Claire cooked them for us over the recess break and we were able to enjoy them back in the classroom while we completed our Spelling. Yum!

3/4C - Mr Lewis

This week in 3/4C the students have been learning all about symmetry. They have used their names to create different symmetrical images. Can you work out whose belongs to who on our classroom symmetry display?

The students have also had a go at creating ‘I am’ poems as part of our wellbeing lessons. This is Tash’s amazing poem.

3/4D - Mr Mitch

This week in 3/4D, we commenced our transformation unit within Measurement and Geometry. The students completed a name symmetry task which highlighted the beauty of reflection. Amelie S

To begin our persuasive writing unit, we posed a number of controversial topics and asked the students to agree or disagree. This sparked a in depth discussion about gathering evidence to support an argument.

3/4E - Miss Margarita

This week, students have been exploring symmetry in the built and natural environment. They have matched symmetrical patterns and shapes and also created some of their own, focussing on using bilateral and radial symmetry.
