Physical Education News

During PE our unit focus has been ‘Target’ for the first few weeks at school. This week the Years 4-6 had the opportunity to participate in Lawn Bowls down at the local Hampton RSL. Bowls is a great sport where students, regardless of age, gender, experience, or physical ability, are able to enjoy learning with others in a social setting. Due to its inclusiveness, Lawn Bowls was a big hit with all the students. As a non-contact and low impact sport the aim of students participating was to develop individual playing skills, game knowledge and social skills. Hopefully students will be able to encourage their family to play a friendly game down at their local bowls club in the near future!
Dendy Tennis Trials
Congratulations to Aris who competed and won the Dendy Tennis trials on Friday. Aris will now compete at the beachside trials. Make sure you congratulate him. We wish Aris the best of luck at the next level. Well done to all four students who represented our school. Your participation, effort and sportsmanship was all outstanding.
