Meet our Teachers - Rachel Saliba

Rachel Saliba - Prep B

What’s the best thing about being a teacher?

The best thing about being a teacher is getting to empower students to become critical thinkers and resilient learners who never give up and always try their best.

What inspires you?

The big smile on my students faces when they are proud of their achievements!

What do you love most about DCC?

I adore the big welcoming smiles in our community and the beautiful artwork found around the school that adds to DCC’s magical and warm ambiance.

What would the students be surprised to find out about you?

That I have travelled to 11 countries around the world!

If you could pass on any wisdom to your students, what would you share?

You never lose in life, you either win or you learn!

What is your spirit animal?

My spirit animal is the Chimpanzee. They are caring and gentle creatures who have an abundance of empathy. Similarly, I am in tune with the emotions of others and value individuals’ wellbeing.

What are your “trapped on a desert island” books or movies?

If I was trapped on a desert island you will find me swimming in the ocean rather than reading a book or watching a movie!

A special photo I’d like to share and about it

This is a photo of my first time at the snow in Mount Buller. I love exploring, going to new places and trying new things.
